Seniors must vote for Chris Christie in order to survive New Jersey senior citizens need a friend in the governor'smansion. Eight years of Jim McGreevey, Richard Cody and Jon Corzine have nearly bankrupted many seniors. Many left New Jersey because of taxes. Others have left because their jobs moved to another state. Seniors now must travel hundreds of miles to see their children and grandchildren. Reduction in senior rebates and taxation of Social Security benefits reduced our incomes. Now Social Security is not adding a cost-ofliving increase. Medicare is increasing the required contribution. The result is less income, more cost and finding ways to make do on less. Ironically, these changes occurred with a Democrat in Trenton and a Democrat in Washington, D.C. One man running for governor understands the plight of senior citizens. Former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie grew up in a family that made things work. He has been the bright hope for seniors this year. He stands on the correct side of the issues and will end the abuses in Trenton as he did as U.S. attorney. More than 130 politicians and their cronies are in prison today thanks to the integrity of Christie. The incumbent and his lieutenant governor running mate are the problem. Instead of talking about the issues, they just throw mud. What they don't know is the slinger usually gets dirtier than their target. Now they have decided to take on all seniors who are overweight because of medical reasons, others because they must eat what they can afford. That means higher fat in the diet. When that is added to our inability to exercise there is no way to prevent weight gain.
I urge all citizens to study the real issues. Taxes, spending on pork barrel projects and not caring about those of us who have survived are the issues that matter. We survivors of the previous abuse of seniors must vote for Chris Christie in order to survive the taxes and mud. |
