Robert B. Pehler

Mr. Pehler, 78, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died Oct. 8, 2008, at home. He was an ironworker and a member of Ironworkers Local No. 11, Essex County, for 50 years, retiring in 1990. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Pehler. Mr. Pehler is survived by a son, James of Colonia; five daughters and sons-inlaw, Lisa and Gary Lyon of Pennsylvania, Gail and William Brandow of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, Alison and Darren Rist of Fredon, Tracy and William Wagner of the Kingston section of South Brunswick, and Amy and Michael Parrone of Edison; a brother, Ronald of Marlboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Peter Trethaway of Belvidere; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia, followed by burial at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Arrangements were by the Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison.
