Meals on Wheels drivers needed in Woodbridge

Jewish Family and Vocational Services of Middlesex County needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound clients.

The Kosher Meals on Wheels program is a five-day-a-week service that provides two daily meals to seniors and disabled individuals who are temporarily or permanently unable to shop or cook for themselves.

Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of two delivery dates per month, with each route running approximately 90 minutes. Meals are distributed at The Orchid in Metuchen weekdays at 10 a.m. Those unable to drive can volunteer as a "jumper"— a navigator who works alongside the driver to deliver the meals.
