Gas stations charge credit customers more
Buyer, beware. Since the gas prices have gone up so high, some gas station owners are trying to make even more.

You are driving and see the real low price on the sign, then you pull into the station. There is only one problem: that is not the true price of the gas if you want to pay with credit, only the cash price. Some stations put the credit price on the sign, others do not. People usually don't notice the price until after it is too late. The gas station guys think this is a nice trick.

I have spoken with some gas station managers in the past. They try to tell you that Shell, Exxon or whatever brand they sell tells them the price to charge. You just drive around central N.J. and see how much the prices change even with the same brand. The price in New Brunswick at Shell compared to others is much higher. Shell is not telling them to charge 20 cents more. All of these things gas stations do is just another way to make more money and stick it to the public.

There is one more thing gas station owners could do. Since they are making so much money, they could afford to clean the restrooms; a bottle of cleaner is now cheaper then a gallon of gas.
