Tires slashed in Colonia

WOODBRIDGE - A rash of slashed tire incidents occurred in Colonia over the weekend.

The incidents occurred between an unknown time on May 8 and 10:02 a.m. on May 10, police said.

Two incidents occurred at Arthur Avenue residences.

Someone slashed both driver's-side tires of a tan 2001 four-door Toyota Corolla and someone slashed the left rear tire of a silver 2000 four-door NissanMaxima. The damage to the tire on the Nissan is valued at $100.

Two incidents occurred at Acme Place residences.

Someone slashed both driver's-side tires of a white 2003 Ford 250 and someone slashed the driver's-side rear tire of a red 1997 four-door Chevy Cavalier. The suspect who slashed the tires of the Chevy also threw eggs at the front of the owner's Acme Place residence.

Also, someone slashed the tire of a red 1994 two-door Honda Civic that was parked at a Byron Place residence; someone slashed both driver's-side tires of a white 2001 four-door Volvo S40 that was parked on Dodd Street; and someone slashed both driver's-side tires of a gray 2006 four-door Nissan Altima that was parked on Hayes Avenue.
