Salon to raise funds to benefit local residents

Vito Mazza Salon Spa and Hair Restoration, 114 Main St., Woodbridge, will be hosting a special fundraiser in memory of Faye Hecht and in support of Kelly Mahon and her family 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18. Faye Hecht, the wife of a local Woodbridge police officer, passed away from a stroke and is survived by two young sons. Kelly Mahon, a senior at Woodbridge High School, has recently suffered a traumatic brain injury and is in a long-term rehabilitation facility. The donations gathered will go toward a fund for the sons of Faye Hecht and to help with the mounting medical bills for Kelly Mahon. The day will include brunch, followed by a light lunch, door prizes, music and more.

Anyone who wishes to donate at least 10 inches of their hair to Locks of Love, an organization that provides hairpieces to children with medical hair loss, will receive a complimentary haircut and hairstyle.

Appointments are limited. To book an appointment, visit www.vitomazza.com or call (732) 636-0119.
