Resident clarifies euthanization comments
It appears that the last two letters concerning the Woodbridge Animal Shelter were off point.

I wrote a letter published on March 26, which was intended only to question the policy of automatically euthanizing animals based on breeds at Edison and Woodbridge shelters. I attempted to give some possible positive suggestions based on past hands-on experience in an active shelter. I am fully aware of the unfortunate need for euthanization. Shelters have to deal with the sad mistakes and irresponsibility of society.

I stated that I was very happy that Woodbridge Shelter is operational. I have had only positive experience with Woodbridge Animal Control. Tom Circle is outstanding and Mercedes Lopez is very dedicated. I believe I met Dennis Green at a meeting supporting the building of the shelter and he seemed open to suggestion.
