Woman found dead in home

WOODBRIDGE - Township Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the death of an 85-year-old Sewaren woman.

Police received a call to respond to Ruth Tomaczosky's home at 34 Meade St. at 1:27 p.m. Feb. 25, authorities said.

Tomaczosky, who lived alone, was pronounced dead at the scene and Middlesex CountyAssistantMedical Examiner Alex Zhang performed an autopsy on Feb. 26, authorities said.

The cause of Tomaczosky's death has not yet been determined, and Zhang is awaiting the results of additional testing prior to providing his opinion, authorities said.

The Woodbridge Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office are continuing their joint investigation.
