Talent competition entries due Dec. 7

The Pollo Tropical Chicken on the Grill, 77 Route 1 south, will host its grand opening festivities Dec. 7 and 8, with carnival games and prizes, a visit from Santa and his elves, salsa dancing demonstrations, famous artist renditions, and prize drawings for over $1,000 in cash and prizes.

The festivities include a "Pollo's Got Talent" competition at 4 p.m. Dec. 8. For every person who enters or comes to watch the competition, Pollo Tropical will donate five meals to the Woodbridge Education Foundation. The top three acts will be recognized, with the grand-prize winners receiving $500. The competition is open to ages 12 to 25, and entry forms will be available at the new restaurant and need to be turned in by Dec. 7. Ten percent of the proceeds during the weekend will go toward the township's wellness campaign.
