Reading Fairy to host program for kids Nov. 8

ShopRite will team up with Rita Book, the Reading Fairy, in an effort to develop youngsters' appetites for books while teaching basic kitchen skills, at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Woodbridge ShopRite.

During the one-hour "Rock, Read and Eat" workshop, former kindergarten teacher Tracy Brown, the "Reading Fairy," will lead the children in songs and dance, read them a story, then help them prepare a snack based on the book she has read.

The workshop is limited to 30 children, ages 4 through 9. Registration is $10 per child, and advance registration is required.
