Woodbridge church to mark 175th anniversary

The Woodbridge United Methodist Church, 69 Main St., will kick off the celebration of its 175th anniversary with a fish and chips dinner 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the church.

Argyle Fish & Chip Restaurant, of Kearny, will prepare the food. Dinners will be available to eat in or take out. Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $6.50 for children.

Continuing the celebration, the church will hold a craft fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20, which will include Quakers displaying their customs and food, children's activities, face painting, pony rides, a craft show and an historic display.

Lunch will be provided.

The Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the New Jersey Commission/Department of State have provided some of the funding for the celebration.
