Donate to your local food pantry
What a beautiful time of year. The smell of fall is in the air. The leaves are turning colors, orange pumpkins are lying in the fields, and New Jersey is a sea of red for Rutgers.

Sadly, for many families in Middlesex County, it is not a beautiful time of year. Life is a struggle. Many nights they go to bed hungry and with the knowledge that the next day the struggle will begin again.

Normally these families turn to their local food pantries/soup kitchens for help. However, this year food pantries and soup kitchens are in a crisis - there is a dramatic increase in the number of people needing our services and a dramatic downturn in donations. Our shelves are empty.

Please help your neighbor. When grocery shopping this week, pick up a few extra items and drop them off at your local food pantry.

That hungry person you will be helping might be your nextdoor neighbor.
