Greater Media station adds new talk show host

WCTC AM 1450, New Brunswick, has announced veteran radio host Alan David Stein will take over as the new host of the "Afternoon Drive" talk show at the station owned by Greater Media Inc. Stein has been the number one fill-in host during the mornings the past three years, and will do a "current events"-based show.

Prior to joining Greater Media, he was a talk show host and award-winning newsman at WKXW-FM, Trenton. Due to his career as a newsman, Stein has built relationships with major newsmakers in the state. A native of central New Jersey, he is best known for his expertise regarding pop culture. His signature "show biz" hours feature allows him to tap into a variety of topics, ranging from favorite movie endings to the funniest sitcom ever.

According to WCTC program director Bruce Johnson, "Alan is one of us. He talks like us and has the unique ability to mesh what's important to central New Jerseyans with a cool slant towards pop culture."

WCTC-AM is owned and operated by Greater Media New Jersey, a subsidiary of Greater Media Inc., parent company of 20 AM and FM radio stations in the Boston, Detroit, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets. It also owns a modern printing plant and a group of weekly newspapers in central New Jersey as well as several telecommunications towers nationwide.
