Middlesex County Fair Aug. 6-12 in E. B'wick

The 2007 Middlesex County Fair will take place Aug. 6-12 at the fairgrounds at 655 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.

Amateur crafters, artists, photographers, bakers, canners, and those who sew are invited to take part in "home arts" competitions at the event. There are also categories for vegetables, fruit and flowers. Participants may preregister or simply bring items to the fairgrounds Aug. 5 between 1 and 5 p.m. Divisions include adult, children (by age), and special-needs participants. First-, second- and third-place as well as honorable mention ribbons may be awarded in each class. The articles remain on display in the home arts building for the entire fair. The fair will also feature rides, 4-H exhibits, food, and vendors. Elks hold flea market Tuesdays and Saturdays

The Woodbridge Elks Lodge No. 2116 holds a flea market with over 60 vendors every Tuesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (weather permitting) at the Woodbridge Elks Lodge, 665 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge, (across the street from the Trinity Church).
