Colonia Ladies Auxiliary receives awards

The Colonia VFW Post 6061 Ladies Auxiliary received the following honors at the State Convention in Wildwood, N.J. Doris Morecroft, a National VFW Citation as an Outstanding State Americanism Chairman; Auxiliary President Helen Dennis, a framed Citation of Merit and a silver pendant as an honorable Mention Auxiliary President; Berniece Symborski a certificate for participation in "Most Effective Promotion of the Publicity Program" and a certificate as Outstanding District Chairman. The 6061 Auxiliary received the following awards: Outstanding Support for the Commander's State Project at Vineland Memorial Home, Appreciation for contribution to the Cancer Aid and Research Fund, Participation in Community Service, Voice of Democracy, Donation to New Jersey Cottage, State Hospital Quota and Christmas Cheer, and Recognition for generous contributions to the President's Special Project.
