Redistricting changes The Woodbridge school district has proposed an updated redistricting program. Here are some ways the second plan differs from the first plan: +Students from Ross Street School No. 11, Indiana Avenue School No. 18 and Matthew Jago School No. 28 would not be affected, where under the original plan they would have been. +Parents who desire that their current fourth-grade child complete fifth grade in their present school may do so, provided that they supply their child's transportation to and from school. However, school officials said younger siblings would have to transfer to the schools in the their current attendance zone. +The sixth- and seventh-graders currently at Iselin Middle School who live in Menlo Park Terrace would stay at that school; however, the fifth-graders who would originally go to Iselin Middle School for sixth grade will transfer to Fords Middle School. +The eighth-graders who live in Hopelawn and Keasbey would still have to go to John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Iselin. High school students who move into Hopelawn and Keasbey would attend JFK High School. +Elementary school students from the Woodbridge Center Plaza Drive apartments, who currently go to Ford Avenue School No. 14 would attend Lafayette Estates School No. 25 in Fords. +School No. 25 in Fords would also receive students from Keasbey, who currently attend Port Reading School No. 9. +Woodbine Avenue School No. 23 in Avenel would receive students from Lynn Crest School No. 22 in Colonia, who currently live in the Forest View and Evergreen Forest Apartment Complexes in Avenel. +Students, who reside in Woodbridge proper and who currently attend Claremont Avenue School No. 20 in Colonia and Lynn Crest School No. 22 in Colonia would attend Port Reading School No. 9. +Students from the Barrons Gate Apartment complex on Rahway Avenue who currently attend Pennsylvania Avenue School No. 27 in Colonia would now attend Port Reading School No. 9.
