The Rutgers men's basketball program has released its 2007 summer camp dates. The Scarlet Knights will host a variety of camps, including a Day Camp, an Overnight Individual Camp, Father/Son Weekend, an Evening Team Camp, as well as an Overnight Team Camp. Each camp will be directed by head coach Fred Hill and the Scarlet Knights' coaching staff.

All camps will take place at the Rutgers Athletic Center on five regulation size courts.

The Day Camp features two sessions (June 25-29 and July 30-Aug. 3) and will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for boys entering second through ninth grade. Each player will receive a camp T-shirt, camp ball and a self-improvement workout. Each day will encompass basketball drills, games, lectures and individual instruction. Early arrivals and late dismissals are available and campers bring their own lunch. The cost is $225 per session.

The Overnight Individual Skills Camp will have a single session running from Sunday, July 8 to Wednesday, July 11. Campers entering the sixth through 12th grade will join the Rutgers coaching staff in four days of intense skill development. The cost is $375 per session and camp tuition includes three nights lodging, all meals, instruction, a jersey and a comprehensive drill booklet.

Father/Son Weekend (June 15-17) will be hosted by the only Division I head coaching family in the nation, as coach Hill and his father Fred Hill, head coach of the Rutgers baseball team, will direct the three-day camp. The camp will give fathers and sons the opportunity to learn the latest drills, techniques and instructional ideas in both baseball and basketball. It will also feature unique father/son games and skill competitions. The camp is open to fathers with sons entering grades three through nine at a cost of $215 per person, $100 deposit (second son $190).

The Evening Team Camp (June 10-14 and June 24-28) will have two sessions and take place from 6-10 p.m. all five nights. Each team will play two games per night for a total of 10 games, and game officials will be used for all contests. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt. The cost per team is $525.

The Overnight Team Camp (June 29-July 1 and July 27-29) gives individuals the chance to compete against some of the top teams in the region. There will be two divisions (varsity and subvarsity) and each team will play seven games. Guest speakers will provide lectures on skill development as well as strength and conditioning. The cost is $215 per player ($145 for commuters) with a minimum of eight players per team.

The College of New Jersey's baseball team collected a number of citations with the release of the 2007 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Star Baseball Team on Monday. Tapped for the NJAC All-Star Second Team from TCNJ was senior Jeff Botti (Avenel/Colonia) in the outfield.

Botti, TCNJ's 2006-07 Dr. Harold W. Eickhoff Senior Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year honoree, leads the Lions at the plate with a .381 average and had started 33 of 34 games played in left field before a season-ending injury occurred in the Lions' regular-season finale after a collision in the outfield. Botti has 27 RBIs with 10 extra-base hits and 51 hits while also collecting six sacrifice hits and a .485 slugging percentage on 134 at bats.
