Charles J. Westcott Sr.

Mr. Westcott, 57, of Hopelawn, died April 13, 2007, at University Hospital, Newark. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Perth Amboy prior to relocating to Hopelawn 18 yeas ago. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 45, Perth Amboy. He was also a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 784, South Amboy, and past vice president of the Central District and Past Exalted Ruler. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Beverage. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Wall Westcott; two sons, Joseph Deliman Jr. and Charles J. Westcott Jr., both Hopelawn; a daughter, Dawn Marie Westcott of Perth Amboy; six brothers, Richard Miller of Howell, Edward Miller of Keansburg, Jessie Westcott of Perth Amboy, Mario Furlong of Holmdel, John Furlong of Keansburg, and Carl Furlong of Edison; two sisters, Johanna Miltner of Skipwood, Va., and Deborah Farra of Jackson; and a granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Perth Amboy. Interment was at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, Bordentown.

Jerome Bricker

Mr. Bricker, 76, of Monroe Township, died April 23, 2007, at home. He is survived by a daughter, Shari Barnett of Bridgewater; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Bricker of Bedminster, and Jeffrey and Shari Bricker of West Caldwell; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Joan Bricker of Queens, N.Y.; his companion, Ann Putnam; and five grandchildren. Interment was at Beth Abraham Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2600 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902.

Darren Wickberg

Mr. Wickberg, 27, of the Belford section of Middletown, died April 18, 2007. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in South Amboy, and Metuchen, prior to relocating to Belford one year ago. He was employed at Operating Engineers Local 25, Millstone. He was predeceased by his father, Darren in 1994. He is survived by his mother and a sister, Patricia Denver Wickberg and Kaitlyn Wickberg, both of the Dayton section of South Brunswick; his grandparents, Richard and Joanne Wickberg of Old Bridge, Theresa Wickberg of Woodbridge, and William Denver of Winter Park, Fla.; and several aunts and uncles. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.

Marie Jordan Johnson

Mrs. Johnson, 58, of Manalapan, died April 15, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Colorado and had resided in South River before moving to Manalapan 10 years ago. Prior to retiring, she was employed by the Drake Corp., East Brunswick, for 15 years. She retired as a shipping forewoman and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. She also enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her parents, Irma and Richard Jordan, as well as a son, Alfred Ambrose III, and a sister, Yvette Gregor. Surviving are a daughter, Marie Mack of South River; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Laura Ambrose of Buford, Ga.; a brother, Richard Jordan of Edison; five grandchildren; and her longtime companion, Michael Fisezi of Manalapan. Funeral services were held at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private.

Leonard "Lenny" J. Hodgins

Mr. Hodgins, 39, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died April 25, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Hoboken, he resided in Jersey City prior to relocating to Lincroft 22 years ago. He was a supervisor at Retailers and Manufacturers, Eatontown. He is survived by his parents, Leonard E. and Patricia Kelly Hodgins of Hoboken; two sisters, and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Damiano Mezzina, and Laura and Eric Sanderson, all of Hoboken; two aunts and their husbands; and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Leo The Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
