Thanks to those who made Wellness Center a reality

Several years ago the Metuchen Edison Woodbridge YMCA and the Metuchen Board of Education collectively created a vision for a Wellness Center to be located at Metuchen High School to serve the high school students as well as the greater community. With the incredible support of Metuchen Savings Bank, the State of New Jersey, and Metuchen Rotary Club, that vision has now become a reality with the opening of the Wellness Center this spring.

Although initially being used only by the high school (due to construction), YMCA members will also begin accessing it this fall. At a time when the total health of our children is such a concern to so many of us, this Wellness Center will have a profound impact on the children of Metuchen. Special thanks to Sen. Buono and former Chief of Staff to Gov. Codey, Peter Cammerano for championing this project on a state level.

The YMCA enjoys very strong collaborative relationships with the Boards of Education in not only Metuchen, but Edison and Woodbridge as well. We look forward to finding other new and innovative ways to impact the health and wellness of children and families in the communities we serve.

William Lovett
