Woodbridge AARP announces meetings, trips

Woodbridge AARP Chapter 3869 will meet April 24, 1 p.m., at St. Andrew's Church hall, 244 Avenel St., Avenel. Membership is open to paid-up members of the national chapter. Bring a pair of men's or women's white socks to the meeting for the veterans home.

On May 9 a dinner-dance for members only will be held at The Forge for the installation of new officers from 6 to 10 p.m.; the cost is $20.

A trip for High Tea at the First Elected Governor's Mansion situated on 13 acres in Union will held May 30. There will be a tour of the mansion and a short film shown.

The chapter will sponsor an 11-day trip to San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 7-17. The trip includes 18 meals, a tour of San Antonio, a cruise of famous River Walk district, the Alamo, the LBJ Ranch and San Antonio Missions. Cost is $879 per person. A $200 deposit is required at time of sign-up.
