St. Cecelia's Golden Knights junior varsity basketball team grabbed the first-place title in the OLP JV Basketball League Championship Game on March 9. Down by seven points twice during an intense, nail-biting game, the Knights bounced back in the last 33 seconds to defeat St. James by a score of 40-37.

The players are Rance Soper, Logan Smith, Joey Lowey, Tommy Cicalese, Travis Cicalese, Joey Francis, Matt Scalia., Matt Lolarga, Brendan Phillips, Danny Gonzalez, Tyler Lowey, Evan Pobuta and Crystal Carlucci. The coaches are Rance Soper, Tom Cicalese and Tim Murray.

The Old Bridge Junior Knights travel ice hockey club will hold tryouts for its mite through midget major teams for the 2005-06 season April 23-25 at the Old Bridge Sports Arena. The tryout fee is $100.
