The New Jersey Titans Women's Professional Football team, an expansion team for the 2007 season and proud members of the Women's Professional Football League, will hold open call tryout-combines Saturday, April 28, and Saturday, May 5, at Brookdale Park, Bloomfield. Registration/

check-in will be at 7:30 a.m. on both dates.

The tryout is for all women who ever wanted to play or at least get a feel of what it would be like to carry the ball, catch a pass or even score a game winning touchdown.

Registration for the tryout(s) is $35, which can be mailed in or handed in the day of event.

The WPFL or the Women's Professional Football League will be approaching its ninth season in August. There are 16 teams from as far as California, Texas, North Carolina and Connecticut, who will be competing for the championship this year.

The New Jersey Titans will be an exhibition team this season and will host three home games, which will be played at Passaic County Tech, in the Wayne area.
