"Footloose" cast deserves many accolades

As the Public Relations Officer of the Avenel VFW Memorial Post 7164, I would like to make a few comments about a high school play.

The musical play was "Footloose," performed by the students of Woodbridge High. I was stunned by their performance, I swear I thought I was at a Broadway play in New York.

The entire cast was fantastic. I would especially like to note the performance of Christopher Bober, who portrayed the role of the Rev. Shaw Moore. I was truly inspired. If a Tony Award could be given for a high school play, he could win.

How does this apply to a Veterans Organization?

As combat veterans, we fought for freedom and these bright, young students make us proud. When you hear and read about young adults involved in drugs and crime, these kids put them to shame.

They are the future of America - we'll be in good hands. We've fought wars so we can bring up young Americans such as the cast at Woodbridge High School. We salute them and wish them continued success.
