Scholarship dinner for children affected by cancer

Prodigal Foundation Inc. will hold their seventh annual Scholarship Dinner for high school seniors affected by cancer at the Colonia Country Club on April 26. Prodigal Foundation Inc. is a foundation that reaches out to enhance the quality of life of children that have been adversely affected by cancer. Ten high school seniors will each receive $250 college scholarships at the dinner. Distinguished Community Service Awards will also be presented to Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, Businessman James J. Elek owner of J.J. Colonia Senior Citizens Club day trip calendar

The Colonia Senior Citizens Club has announced several trips and events for the coming new year. On Monday, Jan. 15, the club will be starting Atlantic City Day Trips to be held on the third Monday of each month. The trip leaves from St. John Vianney Church parking lot on Inman Avenue at 11 am. For more information, call Connie at (732) 388-3104. On Jan. 24, the club will host a trip to "Hooray For Hollywood" at the Vanderbilt on Staten Island. On March 29, there will be an American Sweetheart Dinner and Show in Cedar Grove, and on April 23 there will be a trip to the Renault Winery Dinner and Showing of "South Pacific."
