Animal Shelter should be priority for township

I was wondering what all of the hullabaloo was about in regard to the Woodbridge Township Animal Shelter, which should be a high priority and should have been cared for prior to Mayor McCormick's time.

When I read the mayor's newsletter which appeared on the Internet, I was appalled and relieved to hear that come hell or high water, the township will have the well-deserved animal shelter.

I can assure the residents that have put many hours in trying to accomplish this mission will not be disappointed, because the mayor has started "the ball rolling" and will be putting lots of effort into raising the monies that are needed.

The council members and their committee members should band together and hustle themselves by canvassing their wards and contact business personnel, their local citizens, the shopping malls, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Target, Lowe's, etc.

In closing, remember the welcoming bark of a dog when you arrive home and also remember the meowing of a cat when it wants to be hugged.
