Third time was a charm for N.J. license renewal

The most frustrating experience I've had recently is trying to renew my driver's license - all because New Jersey has an influx of immigrants who have entered our borders illegally. So instead of [the state] fixing this unlawful practice, we the residents must be penalized.

I have been driving for over 50 years with a license and insurance. But this year it took me three attempts to renew my license, even though I have a flawless [driving] record. For the first time, I was told I needed a birth certificate. On my second try, I was told that because I was born in Denmark, I also needed citizenship papers or a passport. My third attempt finally produced my new license.

What a shame that all the good citizens of this state are being penalized because New Jersey has failed to perform its duty.
