Four arrested for robbery, conspiracy
BY KATHY CHANG
Staff Writer

WOODBRIDGE - Police arrested four young men from Fords, including two juveniles, for stealing $10 from three Edison juveniles last week.

The robbery occurred at the intersection of West Kelly and Maryknoll Road near Blinds to Go on Route 1 at 8:10 p.m. on Jan. 28, police said.

Police arrested and charged Darrel Louisville, 18, Sayquan Bell, 18, and two 17-year-olds for robbery and conspiracy.

The three victims told police that as they were walking back from the TGI Friday's Restaurant, they observed a beige 1993 four-door Infiniti J30 near the intersection of West Kelly and Maryknoll Road, the police report said.

The victims stated that the vehicle stopped and a group of three to four people exited the vehicle while the driver remained with the vehicle, police said.

The group approached one victim and stated, "Do you have money?" and informed him that they were going to pat him down for money, the police report said.

When the group did not find any money on that victim, they turned to another victim and stated that they were going to pat him down, police said.

The victim responded, "No you're not," at which point the group backed off and the victim was able to hop over a small fence and get away, the police report said.

The group turned to another victim and began tugging on his clothing and removed his wallet from his pocket, police said. The victim told police that the group removed $10 from the wallet and returned it to him, police said.

The group then took off back toward the vehicle that fled toward Ford Avenue. The victims described the suspects as three black males wearing dark color clothing and black ski jackets. One male was Hispanic with longer wavy hair wearing a hooded sweatshirt that had a colored design on it, the police report said.

At 8:49 p.m., police stopped the 1993 Infiniti at the intersection of Snyder Road and Mildred Lane for going 42 mph in a 25 mph zone on Ford Avenue. The four suspects were identified as the suspects wanted for the earlier incident, police said.
