The Dayton Titans, a U10 baseball team based in South Brunswick, is looking for one or two A-plus players with pitching experience for the 2007 season. The Titans, winners of multiple league championships and tournaments in 2006, have an exciting schedule for 2007 that includes several central New Jersey leagues, as well as tournaments in Delaware and Maryland. The Middlesex County Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking teams for its annual Board of Chosen Freeholders Basketball Tournament, which starts March 5. This year's tournament will be held at the Middlesex County Vocational School, 21 Sutton Lane in Piscataway. This single-elimination tournament will consist of four divisions - youth division (boys and girls age 10 and under); youth division No. 2 (boys and girls age 12 and under); youth division No. 3 (boys and girls ages 13 and 14); and youth division No. 4 (boys and girls ages 15 to 17). Registration, a $50 per team entry fee, and team rosters are due Feb. 16. Checks can be made payable to Treasurer, Middlesex County, and mailed to Middlesex County Parks and Recreation Department, attention Erin Drakoulis, P.O. Box 661, New Brunswick, NJ, 08903.

The Alumni Softball League is now accepting registration for its spring Old Bridge Tuesday and Thursday night fastpitch league. The league is also looking for umpires for their Manalapan spring Sunday slow-modified pitch league. The league is willing to train. The Old Bridge Hustlers U12 girls softball team is looking to fill two roster spots for its 2007 spring/summer season.
