Metuchen resident against consolidation

I oppose the bill for Consolidation of School and Municipal Services as I feel it will devalue the town of Metuchen. I oppose this bill, and I implore you as a taxpayer to please consider that this is a grave mistake.

Such a move would destroy the quality of good schools while only possibly improving worse ones.

Please do not pass this bill, for the sake of my young son, and all of our sons and daughters. I chose to live in Metuchen for the quality of life and education; now, if this comes to pass, I will question if New Jersey will continue to be a smart choice to raise children. I cannot afford private school, and it's hard enough to make ends meet.

Why can't you let successful towns like Metuchen continue to be successful?

It seems that business and politics rule over quality of life, and we the taxpayers must feel the harsh reality of your benefits, not ours.
