Needle exchange law condones drug use

Now that Gov. Jon Corzine has signed into law, the bill that makes New Jersey a drug addict enabler as other states are, the question is: Will this new law encourage illegal drug dealers? Will it help to convince youthful daredevils that illegal drugs are not as dangerous as taught to them while growing up in school?

It is difficult to understand how a state law that in essence promotes illegal drug use while at the same time prohibits the use of these drugs could be passed by our state legislators.

Do the majority of New Jersey citizens condone the distribution of free needles for the law breakers?

I have inoculated my hunting dogs annually for over three decades and often found it difficult to obtain syringes legally. Finally, thanks to our state representatives, I will be able to procure legal needles. All I have to do is become a drug addict.
