Sports Shorts Raritan Valley Soccer Officials Association is seeking candidates interested in officiating high school soccer in Middlesex, Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties. The RVSOA are members of the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association Interscholastic Division and the New Jersey Soccer Officials Association - the leading organization for high school officiating in the state. Adult (18-plus) recreational basketball teams and players are wanted for the Amateur Basketball Association of New Jersey Season begins Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton. Fees are being collected in November. It is a 12-game season and games are played on Sundays. The following are the results of the Tamarack Women's Nine-Hole Golf Association's Oct. 5 outing - par fours, half handicap. Ann Marie Broehl took the A Flight with a 21, followed by Elle de la Bandera (23), Abbey Lorber (23) and Joan Hoskins (24). Ruth Rosenberg took the B Flight with a 22, followed by Joyce Nicolaison (23). Morie Marino took the C Flight with a 23, followed by Doris Colgrove (25), Fran Poulin (26) and Cathy Battista (26). Elle de la Bandera had fewest putts with 15. At the Oct. 12 competition - kickers (no flights, choose own handicap to come as close to par as possible - Nicolaison took first with a 36, followed by Marino (35), Broehl (38) and Semen (39). Broehl had fewest putts with 17.
