Purse, car stolen at nightclub

WOODBRIDGE - A 25-year-old Prospect Avenue woman was enjoying a night out at a nightclub when her purse was stolen during a bar fight.

The woman told police that an altercation took place between her friends and other patrons at the nightclub 88 Keys, Route 1 north, around 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 12, the police report said.

During the course of the altercation, a patron flipped her table over where she had laid her purse earlier that night. After the incident, the woman realized that her purse was missing. She searched the establishment by herself and with security, police said.

The purse was described as a small, black alligator skin bag with a metal clasp on the front, which included a Nextel cell phone valued at $300; $10 in cash; car keys; a Delaware driver's license; two debit cards and other miscellaneous items, the police report said.

The woman immediately canceled all her credit cards at approximately 2:45 a.m., police said.

The woman told police that she was going to go home and catch up on sleep and retrieve her blue 2003 Nissan Sentra that was parked in the nightclub's parking lot later in the day, police said.

When she returned to the nightclub around noon, she realized her vehicle was missing.

The vehicle has a Delaware license plate and had two sleeping bags valued at $100 and a mink blanket valued at $75 inside, the police report said.
