Community Bulletin Board 'Holiday Powerball' drawing to be held Dec. 3
St. James Parish, together with St. James School, is holding its third annual "Holiday Powerball" to assist with resources and programs for the children it serves.
Grand prize may be up to $20,000 in addition to 24 other cash prizes. The drawing will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 2 at the St. James School.

Genealogy group will meet on Dec. 5
The Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey will hold a meeting of its Genealogy Group at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.
Dr. Nathan Reiss, the society's president, will offer a presentation titled "Using the Internet to Find People Living in the United States: New Techniques." Following the meeting, there will be an informal mentoring session to discuss individual family research problems.
The event is free of charge and open to the public.

Neve Shalom Sisterhood lines up girls' night out
The Sisterhood of Congregation Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen, invites all Sisterhood members to "An Evening Out With the Girls" at 7 p.m. Nov. 27. Methodist Church to host bake sale on Nov. 18
Just in time for Thanksgiving, the New Dover United Methodist Church will have a harvest bake sale on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 1 a.m. until noon. The church is located at 687 New Dover Road, Edison.
Woodbridge WOW to host open dance on Nov. 19
The Woodbridge Widows Or Widowers will hold an open dance on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Elks Hall, 665 Rahway Ave., Woodbridge. Music by Sentimental Journey.

W.B. Historical Assoc. to bring Twain to the library
The Historical Association of Woodbridge will present David G. Kennedy as Mark Twain: Wit and Wisdom on Nov. 27. Kennedy will appear in the costume and the character of Mark Twain and will discuss the author's life and works. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and a meeting of the Historical Association will follow the event.
The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 on the lower level of the Woodbridge Main Library.
