Police searching for two men who stole purse WOODBRIDGE - Two males reached into a white 1995 two-door Eagle Talon and stole a 23-year-old woman's purse, while she was sitting in her car with her boyfriend, police said. The robbery occurred at 12:48 a.m. on Oct. 21 in the south parking lot of St. Georges Avenue in Colonia, police said. The victim told police that two males approached the car and suspect one asked "Are you guys OK?," the police report said. The victim and her boyfriend responded that they were fine, police said. The two suspects drove their car into the lot and parked it. Shortly after, the two men pulled their car alongside the couple's car, the police report said. The victim described the first suspect as a 20-year-old white or Hispanic male, thin build, approximately 5 feet 7 inches, with short, dark hair. He wore a light colored T-shirt and dark baggy pants, the police report said. The first suspect got out of his car and approached the driver's side of the victim's vehicle. The second suspect walked up to the passenger side, police said. Without saying a word, the first suspect opened the driver's side door, reached over the victim and grabbed her purse, which was on the center console, the police report said. The victim grabbed onto the purse and struggled with the suspect, who eventually pulled it from her and got into the driver's seat of his car, the police report said. The second suspect ran around and got into the passenger side and the two men sped off southbound on St. Georges Avenue, police said. The victim described the second suspect as roughly 20 years old, a white or Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. He wore a green, striped polo shirt, police said. The victim described the suspect's car as a early 1990s or late 1980s white or gray four-door Honda or Toyota, police said. The victim sustained two small cuts on her left hand from pulling at the purse straps and her boyfriend sustained two small cuts to his hands from falling out of the car as the victim and the first suspect struggled for the purse, the police report said. The Woodbridge First Aid Squad treated both of them at the scene, police said. The victim described her purse as a pink "XOXO" brand canvas purse, which contained approximately $285 in cash, the victim's ID, and other assorted personal items, the police report said.
