Suspects in Judy Drive assault still at large

WOODBRIDGE - Police are investigating an aggravated assault and robbery of a 19-year old man in an alley of Judy Drive in Keasbey last week.

The incident occurred between 1:30 and 2 a.m. on Oct. 13, police said.

The victim was returning home after visiting a friend in Perth Amboy, when two males came up behind him in the alley, the police report said.

The victim told police he didn't see either suspect until one of the suspects, whom he described as possibly Hispanic, hit him on the left side of his face with a silver-colored handgun.

The suspect was approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build. The man wore gloves, a ski mask, black hat, a dark-colored jacket [possibly navy blue] and jeans, the police report said.

The victim stumbled forward and when he turned around, the suspect who hit him pointed the gun in his face and said, "Where's the money?" the police report said.

The victim told the suspect that he had no money and started to struggle for the gun, the police report said.

The two suspects punched the victim three or four more times in his face, then knocked him to the ground where they tried to kick him in the face, the police report said.

The suspects then ran toward Judy Drive in an unknown direction on Judy Drive, the police report said.

The victim described the other suspect as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a dark jacket and a dark-colored bandanna, ski hat and gloves, police said.

The victim told police that the second suspect raised a black club at him in a threatening manner, but didn't hit him with it, police said.

The victim told police that the suspects didn't go through his pockets or say anything else, the police report said.
