Avenel man, 35, charged in sex assault POINT PLEASANT BEACH - Police have charged an Avenel man with the aggravated sexual assault of a woman at his summer rental home on Sanborne Avenue last weekend. Russell L. Introcaso, 35, Avenel, was arrested and charged Sept. 6 for committing aggravated sexual assault on a 26-year-old Staten Island, N.Y., woman when she was one whom Introcaso knew or should have known was physically helpless, mentally defective or mentally incapacitated, Ocean County Executive Assistant Prosecutor Robert A. Gasser said. Aggravated sexual assault is a first-degree crime, he said. "There were 13 to 15 people staying at his rental home, and they were partying and drinking," Gasser said. "The reason for the first-degree crime is because he knew the victim was under the influence and asleep." The maximum sentence for the first-degree aggravated sexual assault is 20 years, officials said. Introcaso was taken to the Ocean County jail in Toms River, but posted $75,000 bail, according to the police report.
