Board of Ed. recognizes scholastic achievements

Sixteen fifth- and sixth-graders from Woodbridge Township were honored for their scholastic achievements at the BOE meeting held May 19 at Avenel Middle School. All students received Young Students Talent Search awards from the Center for the Advancement of Academically Talented Youth of Johns Hopkins University for their outstanding performances on the PLUS Academic Abilities Assessment Test. Those honored were: Robert Handerhan and Koustav Shah, Mawbey Street School No. 1; Aakriti Tayal, Ford Avenue School No. 14; Adam Schwing, Menlo Park Terrace School No. 19; Michael Hofmann, Claremont Avenue School No. 20; Sanjana Matta, Lynn Crest School No. 22; Karthik Ramakrishnan, Woodbine Avenue School No. 23; Vaibhav Agarwal, Harsh Daga, Devansh Gupta, Vikramjit Pawar and Varsha Poddar, Kennedy Park School No. 24; Mounica Paturu, Lafayette Estates School No. 25; Anasemon Aioub, Avenel Middle School; Sahil Parikh, Colonia Middle School; and Purvina Patel, Iselin Middle School.
