     EDISON — The J.P. Stevens girls basketball team won its second consecutive Greater Middlesex Conference tournament with a 44-42 win over Old Bridge last week at the Louis Brown Athletic Center on the Rutgers University campus.

     Bearcat Pop Warner Football and Cheer in Woodbridge is holding registrations. All children make the teams, there are no tryouts. Gymnastics clinics for cheerleaders start in May, and football and cheerleading starts in August.
