Circle Players schedules auditions for ‘Proof’ Circle Players, 416 Victoria Ave., Piscataway, will hold auditions at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 and 13 for its upcoming production of "Proof" by David Auburn The production will be directed by Gordon Weiner. Performance dates are March 4-22. All roles are open. Two men and two women are needed. Cast breakdown is as follows: • Catherine — age 25. A troubled young woman, she has been her mentally ill father’s sole caregiver during the last five years of his life; • Claire — age 29. Catherine’s successful and stable big sister, she is concerned for Catherine’s mental health; • Robert — professorial type in his 50s. He appears in the play as both healthy and in the early stages of dementia; • Hal — late 20s. Robert’s former student, he is in love with Catherine.
