Deadline Jan. 12 for VSA/NJ workshops

VSA arts of New Jersey (VSA/NJ), New Brunswick, is now accepting applications for its parent/child workshops in music/movement and art for children with autism or autistic behaviors programs. Application deadline is Jan. 12.

The free workshops for individuals age 3-17 are held Saturdays Feb. 5-April 16. The 10 sessions will be offered locally at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. The sessions provide attendees with experiences in music and art to serve as an introduction to the arts while developing communication, social and cognitive skills. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
