Gas station employee shot during robbery

WOODBRIDGE — Police are seeking four suspects in an armed robbery Friday, in which a gas station attendant was shot in the arm .

Police said that shortly before 2 a.m., four black males in a small, silver colored vehicle pulled in for gas at the BP Amoco station on Route 27 in Iselin.

As the attendant pumped the gas, two suspects exited the car, produced handguns and demanded money.

The victim handed over $230, and one of the suspects rifled through his pockets.

After the suspects got back in the vehicle, one of them shot the attendant in his left upper arm as he attempted to remove the gasoline nozzle from the car, police said.

No further descriptions of the suspects or their vehicle were available.

The victim was treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and released.
