Gas station attendants robbed at gunpoint

WOODBRIDGE — Police are looking for six black males who robbed two Fords men at gun point near their Tulip Drive apartment in Fords last week.

The robbery occurred at 11:17 p.m. on Dec. 1, police said.

The district manager of the Raceway gas station on Lafayette Road in Fords told police that six black males — two from the left — two from the right — and two from behind — approached and surrounded his two employees as they walked to their apartment after they closed the station at 11 p.m.

One black male, described as 6 feet tall and thin, pointed a handgun at the two men and demanded all their money, the police report said.

Both men complied and handed over their wallets, police said.

The six males fled on foot toward Route 1, the police report said.

Victim one’s $20 black leather wallet contained $125 in cash, a Nepal driver’s license, and a return airline ticket to India via Air India valued between $500 and $600, which is good until Nov. 2007, the police report said.

The airline ticket had the victim’s name on it and will not be able to be used or cashed in, police said.

Victim two’s $20 wallet contained more than $60 in cash in it, the police report said.
