Hess Express gas station robbed at gunpoint BY KATHY CHANG Staff Writer
WOODBRIDGE - Police are looking for three black males who are suspected of robbing the Hess Express gas station at gunpoint on Route 9 north last week.
The robbery occurred between 1:50 a.m. and 1:51 a.m. on Nov. 30, police said.
The victim, who was working behind the counter, told police that two men entered the Hess Express and robbed him at gunpoint.
The first suspect walked behind the counter, pointed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim and said, "Give me all your money," the police report said.
The first suspect was described as a black male wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve white shirt, black hooded sweat shirt with a square-shaped white design on the back [center-top], and white and black sneakers. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, which was in his right hand, the police report said.
Suspect two followed suspect one and took cash from the money box, which was behind the counter, as the first suspect continued to point the gun at the employee.
At that time, the victim approached the counter and hit the alarm button, the police report said.
The victim handed suspect two the cash register drawer, which the suspect removed the money from, the police report said.
Suspect two is described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, faded blue jeans with a large hole in the left knee and white sneakers, the police report said.
After viewing security video, police observed a third suspect standing in front of the store as a lookout.
Suspect three was described as a black male wearing blue jeans and a short sleeved black T-shirt, the police report said.
The suspects fled running north, the police report said.
Approximately $200 in cash was stolen from the gas station, police said.
