Pumpkins wreak havoc in Fords last week

WOODBRIDGE - Police are investigating a rash of pre-Mischief Night incidents in Fords last week.

Pumpkins were thrown at a number of cars sometime between 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 25 and midnight on Oct. 26, police said.

Someone smashed the trunk of a silver 2005 four-door Subaru Impreza parked on Howell Avenue with a pumpkin between 8:05 p.m. on Oct. 25 and midnight on Oct. 26, the police report said.

Three vehicles that were parked on Corey Street between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 were damaged by pumpkins. Police believe the damage was done by the same person, police said.

Someone smashed the driver's side-view mirror of a black 1999 four-door Nissan Altima, the police report said.

Someone smashed the driver's-side mirror of a silver 2001 four-door Honda Accord, the police report said.

A Corey Street resident told police that someone threw a pumpkin through the vehicle's back windshield, which shattered it, the police report said.
